This morning I heard a cover of Young Hearts Run Free by Swell Season. I like the disco one but this version made my marrow quiver; the lyrics are so right on. Well, maybe not the part about the babies... The last time I heard it was in Romeo + Juliet, when crazy Mercutio does his song and dance.
there were several versions available, some extended and more glittery, but I really like the way Mercutio looks in this one with his sparkly sparkle heels and gun: a shiny violent disco ball.

Speaking of pretty - have you seen "The Peggy Horror Picture Show"? It is my favorite King of the Hill episode. Peggy makes friends with a drag queen, Carolyn, and the drag queen thinks Peggy is a dude. When this is all revealed, Peggy is depressed and hates her big feet and unfemininity. It's lovely how Carolyn shows Peggy how she is a standard of femaleness and beauty.
It gets awesome at minute 19, but the whole thing is good, especially when Hank opens up to Jamie (Carolyn).
